Default 1978 Y Pipe different between L48 & L82

Trying to buy a replacement Y pipe for my 78 L48 automatic Corvette and I'm wondering if there is a difference in the L48 and L82 Y pipe?

I found a Walker Y pipe that is an exact replacement, but doesn't list the different engines, but other sites do.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/361527760627

thanks everyone!!

L48 pipe would have 2 1/4" outlets.
L82 Has 2 1/2" outlets.

Why not route duals in place of the Y with x pipe all the way to where factory goes back to duals no cat?

great idea. Wouldn't that cost more than just the Y pipe? Would that not make it loud as hell?

If your are looking for more performance from your car take it to a good muffler shop & have 2 1/2' duals installed, then re curve your distributor.
This is a performance up grade.
Oh by the way your manifold outlets are 2"
Good luck

If you reconnect it to your existing exhaust its more cost effective while increasing performance. You can buy cheap pipes and x pipe, as if you go further with performance will ditch the stock styled arrangement.

AS for cost if you can find an exhaust shop to bend the pipes it could be cheaper than the ones you linked, ditch the cat and recycle it help offset cost. Use one of these x pipes
