Default Best valve cover gaskets?

I've done valve cover gaskets 100s of times, but mine always seem to leak. I've got the stock L-82 valve covers and I'm fairly certain they are not warped, but will verify that. What gaskets do yall use and also, what about RTV? I've always put RTV on the valve covers, but not the underside of the gasket, so I can remove the covers if needed without damaging the covers. Should I put RTV (or something else) on both sides?

Which fel pro ones? I know they make ones with inserts around the bolt holes so you can't crush them. Do you use those? Oh, and cork or rubber?

I use these gaskets and NEVER had a leak, seep or anything. Also, this gasket can be used over and over...no need to purchase new everytime. I've had these on for about 6 years and have changed my valve covers twice.

Fel-Pro Rubber & Steel Performance Valve Cover Gaskets

I got them at Summit Racing.

Felpro rubber as recommended above- no muss, no fuss, no rtv, no leaks and use it over and over again. I have them for my L-82 vv covers.

Perhaps check your valve covers for straightness... Good luck!

I use these...Fel Pro VS12869T.........about $12 cheaper than the blue ones and work just as well......rigid carrier....embossed O-ring style.
I get mine at O'Reilleys......I have these with the LT-1 covers and zero leaks.....I also use stainless studs and stainless nyloc nuts.
