Holly/Hooker no reply?

Holly/Hooker no reply?
Contacted Holly/Hooker by phone and email last week. Stayed on hold for 8 minutes and gave up. No response to email. Is this the new Holly/Hooker version of customer service, or am I getting too impatient in my golden years?

I called them a few weeks ago and was on hold an awfully long time. Luckily I was driving and had the ability to just set my phone down on speaker, but they did finally pickup. If I recall it was something like 15-20 minutes. They guy was very willing and helpful in looking up a handful of parts though.

I had an issue with a set of side headers and pipes. I left a message, as I could not get anyone on the phone. They did return my call and sent me a complete replacement set of headers free. They did me right, but it was a PITA to get someone on the phone.

With the advent of the internet and email TOO many companies rely upon some one to check the messages.
Cheaper than having a live person on staff.
IMHO.....equals **** poor customer service.
Compare this to Willcox here on CF.
Polar opposites.

I tend to agree with you--the Holly/Hooker customer service has become an oxymoron. Fortunately, these days word travels fast around the internet and others may see it, too. Hate to see great names like Holly & Hooker resting on their laurels--great icons are hard to watch going out this way. Makes me want to go out and buy a Holly/Hooker decal just so I can tear it off the bumper...

Special Holley carb tool
is this some crazy mod or do I need a special screw driver to get these screws out of the metering plate on my tri power secondaries. I have a lot of tools but have never seen this one before. Anyone know where to buy it?
If not, I guess I will get the grinder out and start destroying a screwdriver.
Thanks, Pete

The screws are not suppose to be super tight so you can get away with it.

I have a Snap On socket and bit made just for those screws. It's a 5/32 clutch or pilot head bit (can't remember which) that I used back in my early Chevy dealership days for the Holley secondary carbs.

I'm not sure, but I think HOLLY/HOOKER is a girl who posts on Craigslist. Might try Holley/Hooker for their customer service dept. (I couldn't resist!) I know they have terrible service.

Last night I had a Hooker tell me she would do anything for $20.......
The neighbors are all standing around watching her mow my lawn naked.

I had a set of the Hooker "sidemount headers" back in the late 1970s. The primary tubes rusted out at the point where the tubes and collectors were joined, after just one summer of driving.
I tried phoning them, with no result at all, and then sent 2-3 letters, with pictures, with ZERO response.
I spent $700 for that set up, in 1977......a LOT of money, back then.
