I have one on my c3, it's the regular height. Fitment was decent. My car has been painted for about 5 years now and I can see the frame outline in the paint. This could partially be because of the body guy that painted it. I can see other stuff under the paint in a few other areas that had body work (not on the hood) so I can't blame it on ecklers quality because of this. It's nothing major, you have to look close in the glare to make it out.

What intake and air cleaner are you using? I went a head and ordered it so I could get the %20 off for the sale.

I have heard from other posts that sometimes body work is needed on the match up with the corvette body, which is usually par-for-the-course on any new body part.

I bought an ACI.......they were great to work with and if you mention their E-bay ad you can save $100.......

It fit very well for not coming from my car but it did need some finesse....especially toward the front.......
The bizarre part is the air chamber is not serviced by ACI......I bought one from Eckler......

Pay close attention to the front peak......this is the poorest fitting area of any of them and tough for a novice to fix......most L-88 hoods I see out there are "duckbilled" in the front.........

is your hood stock height, and what intake are you using to seal against the air chamber?

Anyone know where you can get the shiny chrome inserts for the L88 hoods? IMHO, they're just drop-dead gorgeous with the insert...

Stock L-88 height and I am not yet running a sealed air cleaner.....
I did it for height and to actually let some more heat out.......although I plan on making it functional......but I am not dead set on the intake I chose yet so when I am....it will get it......

I can tell you that it clears a small block with a Team g and a 1/4 spacer.......K&N 11" flat base no drop air cleaner.......with 1 1/2" to spare......

L-88 hoods did not have inserts....I believe you are thinking of the standard Big Block hood and/or LT-1....

I'm running an edelbrock RPM intake with a drop base air K&N filter. I've always planned on an LSX swap. I'll have to find what size drop base I bought. I can't remember right off hand. Let me know if you need it. The more I think about it, I don't think the painter did any fitment on the hood. It sits down a hair in the front V and gaps slightly open up toward windshield area. I don't even know if he prepped it well because of the frame lines showing. Good luck.

these are taken right after new paint job:

If you want the Eckler hood email me. It is made by Stinger. I will knock money off of it. It comes by truck so any money saved is a good thing

received an email earlier today stating the hood would not ship till the end of the month... Im done with them time to get a refund. On another note I did stumble across people stating the Tamraz's fiberglass hoods on ebay are Glassteks.

I would think that too artie at stinger makes a lot of ecklers glass but if ecklers cant deliver then there is some back up...perhaps l88s are made to order now but still even with air box 3 or 4 days to make a hood should be good
