Is the VBP Composite spring the same width as the regular steel leaf spring, when measured from the tips near the bolt holes? And does it lower the car when compared to a newer steel leaf spring at the stock rating? For what it's worth I have a 1978 4 speed with a small block. My rear wheels are a little bit too deep for my steel spring, and while I planned to trim them a bit, I was wondering if the composite would fix the problem while lowering the car and bettering the handling all in one go.
I have the 360# spring and it is set at the lowest setting. I have standard tires so you can see the angle.

I have had a VBP 360 glass spring on my '72 for some decades now, and that is with rims that kept the same centerline, but are from an '89 vette, and so 3/4 inch wider to the inside, and so MY pix would look like wonder how in HELL I don't get scraping/rubbing on bounce, but in fact I do not....tire wear is normal....
happens to be 275/50/17 Nitto tires, on '89 vette rims with 2.5 inch wheel adaptors.....
