Default Temp gauge

I have a 1977 corvette that I was having a problem with my temp gauge and alternator gauges. They would work most of the time but not all the time. When one would act up they both would act up. So I replaced the printed circuit board and now all my gauges work fine except the temp gauge. When I crank the car from a cold start the temp gauge reads 220. I took a picture of the old circuit board before I took it apart. The new one looks just like the old one. Please help.
Thanks

QUESTION:

Is the temperature gauge reading the 220 when you simply turn the ignition key ON???

Remove the wire on your sending unit....and see if it no longer goes to 220.

If it does....you need to take out the gauge cluster and look at it again.
