Default Cam for 461 heads?

To preface this, I am a novice with regard to engine building. I have a '79 I put a T5 into a couple years ago with 3.55 rear gears. Not sure what other info might be important, but please ask.

The engine has what I assume is the factory L48 bottom end, but I cant verify until I open it up. I have a set of 3782461 heads in good used condition I want to put on the car. They are mildly ported, and ran for a short period on a friend's Monza drag car maybe 3-5 years ago.

I had a lifter fail late last year and I think it took a lobe off the cam, and the valve seals/guides on this motor are causing it to burn oil. I have been daily driving the car for about 4 years and to my knowledge the bottom end has no issues. A compression test about 2 years/8k miles ago looked good, and I assume everything is still ok.

The combo as it stands is a Weiand #8000 intake and factory L48 bottom end, and I have 64cc 461 heads to swap over. I'm not sure if this is the intake I want and I'm open to suggestions, but its what is on the motor right now. I'm not sure how to select a cam for this motor and would like suggestions. I emailed Lunati and will post here with any reply.

I imagine someone has done this before, and knows what works. And if this is just a dumb idea let me know. Thanks for your help

First problem you are going to have is 461 heads don't have accessory mount holes.

I agree, that's a pain in the rear to overcome, it's been done but truthfully it's pretty much a waste of time.

I would sell the 461's to someone who "REALLY WANTS THEM" and then get a set of Iron Eagle 165cc SS heads and have some fun.
