Can i leave ac belt off just use alt belt?
My 75 coupe 4 speed with ac broke an alternator belt....still have ac belt on non functioning ac, also have air pump on. Should I just get a new alternator belt and leave off ac belt?

Your car looks very original, so I would get all new belts and fill the pulley grooves.
And if you want to get the AC running, one less thing to fix.
Your call!

Your A/C belt is jacked up anyhow. Change them all.

Not sure on AC cars but you should have a belt that just runs from the crank pulley to the water pump. On my non-ac car without the AIR pump I only have two belts. The one mentioned and one that runs the alternator. Both run on the water pump pulley.

You need one belt to go around the crank-water-alternator pullies. If you don't want/need a/c or the air pump, remove those belts and be done with it if you so choose.

The 'primary' water pump belt is the one that only runs around the crank and water pump pulley. MUST you have that one? No.
But I wouldn't be driving my car without it....AND one other belt that could act as W/P 'backup' when the other belt broke.
