Default 1981 Corvette Electric Carb and Distributor

Good afternoon, I have replaced the old engine with a new crate engine from jegs. I replaced the old electric Rochester carb with a new electric edelbrock carb. I want to use the stock distributor. Would this cause any problems? Thanks in advance!

I just did this .the old distributer will run but you wont be happy. the computer will not advance the timing.go to speedway buy the distributer for 70 bucks. it has a new cap roter and coil.its is plug and play.you also will have to do something about the tranny lock up.https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...stributer.html

Why would you want to use the stock distributor? Buy a new HEI and be done with it!
