XE268 vs XE274

I have the Lunati Voodoo 268 cam in my 79 with a 4 speed and 3.73 rear gears. The Voodoo series was made specifically to compete with the XE cams, so it's not quite a direct comparison, but close.
I would not go any larger than the 268 with a 350. I have a decent sounding idle, can idle it down to 500, but if I mess up the clutch engagement, I'll occasionally get a stumble below 1500rpms or so. It starts to open up around 2500rpms and doesn't let up all the way to 6,200roms (the highest I've had it).
If I were to do it over again, I might have gone with the Voodoo 262 cam, but I'm happy enough with the 268.
