Default A/C o-rings

I have a couple of A/C hoses from a 71 LS-5 that are going to be cleaned up and re-used. I can take them to an o-ring supplier and have him match up the seals that are on each end but are there any documents that tell you the o-ring numbers (not GM numbers)? Also, one hose has some black paint overspray on it. What chemicals are safe to remove paint from rubber?

It might be easier if you go to Advance Auto parts or Autozone, and purchase a/c specific rings....

I can tell you 2 NAPA part numbers:

Compressor hose block connection, NAPA part # 407122.
Smaller ones at drier, NAPA part # 407006.

Yup. They have an assortment for about $5. The thinner ones are usually correct.

Green is usually Viton where chemical resistance is needed, are there kits available with green or are you talking about getting them sized at a supplier? The ones that are in it are black I think (buna nitrile).

Edit: Just read that Viton is brown and not compatible, but green is Hydrogenated NBR and is a step up from the standard NBR. Good to know.

they use the green with the newer freon gases, the gases are a smaller atom size and can leak thru the black orings, standard green on newer A/C systems.
which is good for all types of Freon.
