Default Gauge Repairs

Fellows, doing a complete restoration on a 69 corvette and I'm looking for a recommendation on where to send the instrument cluster for inspection/repair, thanks.

Look at Corvette Central on line in the gauges section and you will see they advertise for restoration of the stock gauges, tachometer and speedometer. The prices seem reasonable. I haven't used this service. I just purchased all new.

Hi 70,
You might want to check into D&M Restorations in Greenville, South Carolina.
They repaired the tachometer from my 71 and I was pleased with it.
Regards,
Alan

I used Roger at Corvette Instrument Services.

Redid my gauges and also does custom work. Had a Oil temp gauge with correct green lettering to replace my clock and a voltmeter to replace the ammeter.

If you are just wanting the gauges tested you can do this yourself. On my site I've got multiple test and help pages. (link posted below). If you need a ohms input you can use a flasher which normally has around 50 ohms input and will assist you in testing or you can purchase an adjustable POT online. Testing the gauges is not really all that hard and if you do try this you can always email me at service@Willcoxcorvette.com if you get confused on something.

I have used them for a number of items, including a '63 clock I was convinced was beyond repair. The clock looks awesome and they're great to deal with.

I've also used D&M of Greenville, South Carolina and they do outstanding work as well.

Both of them are at Corvettes at Carlisle.

Good luck... GUSTO
