Tip of the Day-Th350 Shifter Shaft Seal
You can replace the shifter shaft seal ad nauseum if you have a leak. Been there and done it three times. The real problem could be the shifter shaft! The seal can actually score the metal shaft and no re-newing of the seal will make it fluid tight. Does sound a little bizarre that a rubber seal could inflict such damage but apparently so. So replace the shaft. And here is the part number. My tip of today....

Well look it's made in Canada, no wonder it's so soft
With the cross border insults aside Thanks for the tip Paul

Scott,
I never thought of that! And some talented person with a sense of humour can answer the question: What do you get when you put together a Canadian-made TH350 shifter shaft with a USA seal? I think I better move this to Off Topic. Or post a pic of my cat ;) .

I agree with you Paul. I just did this job and did notice some wear, but since I did not have the part handy I reinstalled the shaft. So far, no leaks.
