How much is it worth? 1980 L-82.
I LOVE this car but I may want a change. :cry
For some reason I am really wanting a 92-95 C-4 with a six speed.
1980 L-82 Silver with Red Leather.
230 Horse Power
Power Windows
Air Conditioning (Blows Cold)
Automatic Transmission.
1 of 5,069 made with L-82 Motor.
45,000 original miles.
Car currently has emissions equipment removed but I have everything to put it right back to original.
Less then 250 miles since the following has been done to the car:
Bair's Rebuilt Rear-end 3.07 gears 2 years left on warranty.
Bair's Rebuilt Trailing Arms 2 years left on warranty.
New (4) Goodyear Eagle GTII 255/60R15.
New VBP 9 leaf rear spring.
New VBP GT Front Coil Springs.
New (4) KYB Shocks.
New (4) Eckler's (Built by VBP) New casting o-ring calipers.
New Brake Pads.
New Bendix Master Cylinder.
New Brake lines and hoses throughout car.
New VBP Complete Front Suspension Rebuild Kit.
New PST Polyurethane Rear Suspension Bushing Kit.
New U-joints On All Shafts With Balancing Of Drive Shaft.
New Rear Y-pipe with Dyno-max Mufflers.
New Stewart Stage 1 Water Pump.
New GM Fuel Pump.
New GM Fan Clutch.
New Eckler's Rebuilt Power Steering Pump.
New VBP Rebuilt Power Steering Control Valve and Steering Cylinder.
New Rag Joint.
New Gates Hoses and Belts.
New K&N Air Filter.
New Tune-up.
New Pioneer In-Dash CD Player.
Other miscellaneous housekeeping items:
Cruise Control does not work.
Clock does not work.
What do we think this is worth?

Any frame rust?
I'm from Syracuse NY... my last car from Syracuse broke in half while I was cruising down Rt 81 between Syracuse & Binghamton.
The windshield cracked right down the middle.
Be honest now... :)

OK, I'll take a shot at it, as it appears no one else wants to.
I have been shopping around on the other Vette dealer sites.
I think if that car was at a dealer's lot the price would
be at the least $19,000, up to $24,000. Check it out
yourself, surf the net. That car looks very, very clean
and well maintained. Good luck.
 :seeya
I just looked at the pics again, I think my quesstimations
were a bit low.

Wow, that is a really really nice job there :) Why would you want to sell it? Looks like you've put a lot of effort into it. It's a keeper. I'd try to keep it and buy the C4. You will probably never find a car as nice as yours.

That's absolutely beautiful. With the economy as depressed as it is, I'd say you should be able to get around $15k from the right buyer. I wouldn't settle for less.

Joe,
We have talked plenty about our 80 L82 vettes, and I would just like to add that I hope to get my vette as clean as yours someday. That dual exhaust is gonna be nice on mine. If I had the extra $$$$ I would buy yours to have a matching pair! :D

It is a 96 right? And how was the transaction? I was thinking about seeing Turner's to see what the trade in of mine would be. :cry

Re: How much is it worth? 1980 L-82. (Xracer)
Red73s brother here. I and another coworker have purchased from Holt Auto Sales. As with any dealer there are good stories and horror stories. We both here had good experiences with Holt.
I love the 96. I am not the wrench turner that my brother is. So I wanted something that would cruise nicely without having to rebuild it. The drive from Michigan to Rochester was great. I have had the pleasure of driving Rods previous C3 and while it kicked butt I prefer the easier ride of the C4s (I am after all the 'older' brother).
If you see something in the Holt lineup I would be glad to take a closer look for you. :seeya
