Car shakes at idle....
When my car is idling (clutch in or out) it shakes pretty bad. When I give it a little gas, the shaking goes away. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I would start checking the condition of every vacuum hose. Make sure it's routed to where it is supposed to go, and make sure where it is going is working correctly.
I problem with the vacuum lines of the headlight system can cause a poor idle in a car.
To check the lines, use a pair of pliers and pinch them closed near the carb. If the idle smooths out, or you get a better reading an a vacuum gage, then you have a problem with the line or device it's connected to. You can continue to move down the line with the pliers to try and determine the source of the problem.

Also, check your timing and idle mixture. If you are rich or lean that can cause the engine to run rough in the idle circuit.

Mine shakes at idle too, as a mater of fact so do the windows in my garage
On a serious note I too have had a bad brand new plug, when the motor is cold start it up and touch all the header pipes if one is cool it's not firing. :D

Mine is cammed as well. i love the shake :D i was acutally considering doing solid motor mounts, but then i decided that stress cracks arent something i want to deal with. is you idle just low? mine shook pretty bad a while ago, adjusted the carb for a higher idle, and presto. im idleing at between 600-800 now, depending on if its warm or not.
