Pat - the Beast runs great. Since getting it out of hibernation, the major things I have done, aside from initial start-up were brakes and rear bearings. It runs like a spotted ape for having the hydraulic cam – but technology has advanced since the 70’s. I dyno'd it a while back and soon I hope to take it to the 1/4 mile - just to get a ballpark time, as I did with the dyno.
I will install a solid roller cam and hopefully aluminum heads with further help from Chuck H and associates (67heaven, Stray Dog, 69NOX Rat) as they are guiding me on the proposed motor upgrade to a solid roller and aluminum heads. (See old post Dyno Blues - 427 - Time warp out of 1970's!

It has been sitting for a long time and it just needs alot of little things. I am going through the vacuum now. I have a long wish list that I hide from my wife. Eventually though, we will get it looking really good.
Charlie – the forum is acting a bit funny – that vette in the autumn trees is not mine. I see where some other signatures are getting mixed up. I noticed that it is because I was using a jpg saved for the web. That also allows for the “click to enlarge” button. If you click on the enlarge button, you see my ’69, otherwise it could be someone else’s car. Since this was happening, I decided to repath my signature to a .gif file until the forum overcomes this issue.

I have never had the 427 emblems on the hood - have thought about it from time to time, but still plan on the same look when I repaint.
We have same year model, color, hood, and similar BB motor, and animated shark gifs :crazy: :lol: :cheers: :cool: :D :flag

Thanks - I found out a guy at work is a Corvette guy and I showed him my new pics. He said it was a great car for a gearhead, bigblock, side exhausts and black. But he forgot '69 :lol: :cheers:
