Possible Group purchase on "GT Plus" kit
We will try a group purchase for the "GT Plus" kit, Who's interested? The kit retails at $899.95 and we'll discount to $800 even, a little over 10% off.
GT Plus suspension kit includes:
1-1/8" front and 3/4" rear sway-bar kits
(4) Bilstein "Sport" shocks
#460 front coils
#330 rear composite mono-spring kit
Poly-Adjustable Rear strut-rods :D

Re: Possible Group purchase on "GT Plus" kit (VBP)
there's a bunch of us that have already bought various parts for our cars so many of us probably don't want to spend all that much replacing relatively new and comparable parts. do you guys have a CF discount? i know i have smart struts on my christmas list already. and a bunch more on my 'to-do' list for later.

The previous owner added that kit to my '80. The car drives so much better than my stock '79 did. I think it's a tremendous improvement.

I am definately interested...but as other have mentioned I would like to see different (mix/match) items. I want to do a complete suspension rebuild, front and back, bushings etc.
What do you recomend? What kind of discount would be available.

Fine fine, you sold me. I was going to get the regular GT one with a composite spring for $650, but $150 more isn't that much. But how much more are the Smart Struts? I also need some poly upper and lower control arm bushings for both sides.

I think i'm in too. Let me know the details. I am also interested in knowing how much the smart struts are when added to the kit.

Is this going to be a go or not? The first thing on my list for this winter is the suspension. The snow hasn't fallen yet, but is supposed too, so I wouldn't mind being able to order within a week or so.

Re: Possible Group purchase on "GT Plus" kit (Schmucker)
I was able to dig up an old im conversation and now have the info on what I all want.
"The best kit we have for your application is the "GT-Plus" kit part#42001M. That kit will keep everything in a stock location and upgrade to newer technology front coils and rear composite for a better ride. It comes with all four Bilstein "sport" shocks, front and rear sway-bar kits, #460 front coils, #330 rear composite spring kit, and rear adjustable strut rods. To complete the rebuild you will need the poly conversion kit to do all the polygraphite bushings part#41550. Also you can opt for the front-end rebuild kit part#41553 which will complete the ball-joints, tie-rod ends, tie-rods, and idler-arm. If you get all those kits at once there will be double parts which we will delete so you don't get double parts. The total will come to $1,189.70 to upgrade the whole car."
VBP, please let me know what the group discount would be on this order...or if any of that has changed.
In addition, I would like to know the cost to upgrade to the "smart struts". And...I want to be sure that this is EVERYTHING that will be needed.

Re: Possible Group purchase on "GT Plus" kit (Desertdawg)
Tis' the season, sorry I was out sick the last couple of days, still coughing pretty bad. Anyway, if you get the kit at the group price then any additional items you buy will be also at a discount usually 10%. The Smart-Struts bracket will be $98.96, which retail at $109.95. For the guys who have a lot of our stuff already I'll modify/substitute for other parts.
