Default how do you get to the headligh dimmer switch in a 79?

i am replacing the turn signal switch in my car and thought that it might fix the headlight dimmer too, but after i tore it all apart, it turns out that they are seperate switches, with the headlight dimmer switch even further in. i have turn signal switch out and can see the headlight dimmer switch, but have no idea how to get it out of there. do i need to unscrew the 3 bigger philips head screws and take more stuff out or can i pop it out from where i am at? thanks for any info anyone has.

Go to http://www.corvettefaq.com and look under Steering. If you have a T&T download Tilt & Telescoping Column 69-82 Disassembly and Repair Papers #1 and #2. Download T&T Disassembly and Repair Pics #1 & #3. They should be a big help with your project.
