1980 Duntov update...
Picked up the 1980 Duntov from the body shop and had it trailered to a friends house (a fellow forum member) where it will stay until I sell the damaged car on Ebay...

Tshort (I think I got it right) had a good point in another thread. Should the other driver's insurance make the decision to repair or total the car? If the other driver was at fault, Hagerty should be left out of the picture.

Nice. Unusual for an insurance company. Hagerty seems the choice for collectible insurance based on that alone.

A shame that this happened to one rare Corvette-hopefully, though, it'll work out for the best for you. :yesnod:

It's actually a convenience thing.. My insurance rates are not going to go up or any other bad consequences... They are going to get the money from the other guys insurance.. They pay me and the other insurance company pays them...

I am glad that things are working out to your satisfaction, SuperFast80 and I talked about your Duntov accident the other day and we were both glad that you and your g/f were unhurt but sad at the thought of such a unique and important vette had to be damaged.

Oliver,
I've been scarce lately. What was the total $$ that the repair would have cost?
