For all the guys who saw my post about creating a list of wheels for C3's, here it is. It's still rough and many other wheels probably can be added. Let me know about any changes that are neccassary/or any suggestions :cheers:

Wheels For C3 Corvette’s
ATTENTION: This is just a reference guide with wheels that are known fit C3 Corvettes. Others sizes of these wheels may also fit. None of the information below is a 100% sure thing, and I take no responsibility for wheels that do not fit someone’s car. If you see any mistakes let me know so I can change them. All corvettes have a factory 5x4.75” bolt pattern, which all of these wheels should have available.

Wheels That Require Modification, Spacers, or Adaptors

C4 Corvette Wheels
Size—17’x8.5”, 17”x9.5”
Require adaptors that can be bought from Vette Brakes

Cragar S/S
Size--15”x8”
Backspacing--4”
Require a spacer to fit

Eagle Type 77
Size--17”x9”
Backspacing--unknown
Require a 2 ¼”spacer from Vette Brakes to fit

Weld Draglites
Size--15”x8” front, 15”x9” rear
Backspacing--4 ½ front, 5 ½ rear
Require a 1 ¼” wheel adapter from Vette Brakes for the rear, front requires ½” spacer

Great start. I would love to see pics of the wheels and tire sizes too. Also, Cragar SS 15x8, 4" backspacing fit with a spacer. My tires are 235R60/15's. :cheers:

Do you direct fit only, or are you interested in adding a section of newer C4 and C5 wheels that will work with adapters?

My 1980 has 1996 wheels (17x8.5 and 17x9.5) that fit very nicely with adapters from Vette Brakes.

This is Centerlines Meteor wheel part of the sundance series you can get it in allmost any width, diamiter,backspacing or five lug pattern you want. My rears are 17x9.5 with a 5in. back space but the E-break does have to be moved. I'm ordering 17x8 with a stock BS for the frount.I should have them on this spring.

Good Show , Ryan.
Somewhere in the archives is a "Wheel and Tire Weigh In" that I wrote a couple of months back. For performance, total weight of wheel and tire should be considered as well as fit and appearance.
