Do carbs normally weep?
I just got finished rebuilding my carb (1980 Rochester) with all new seals and some other parts, put it back on the car, fired it up for a few minutes, and now I'm noticing some fuel weeping out of the air horn gasket. Fuel doesn't pool anywhere or drip, but the gasket is noticably wet and so are the surrounding metal areas.
I tightened all the screws in the proper order and double checked them when I was rebuilding, but my intuition tells me something is wrong. Does anyone have any ideas before I start taking the carb apart again? Or should I even be concerned?
On another note, the car seemed to run great once I adjusted the fast idle. But when the engine heated up a bit and slowed down to about 900 RPM it bobbled and stalled out . . . guess I still have some fine tuning to do. :(
