What speed or RPM should an auto shift into 3rd gear?
For normal street driving my car seems to shift into high gear fairly quick. The speedo isn't working so I'd guess around 30mph it's in 3rd already. Is this right? If not, how can shift points be changed other than manual shifts?

Need more information to know for sure. What RPM is the car running at before and after it shifts into third? Also, it would be helpful to know what your rear tire size is and what ratio your rear gears are. Additionally, your car will (as you probably know) shift sooner if it's not loaded down. I would expect it to wait quite a lot longer before shifting if you put your foot into it a bit more :D
