Centerforce 1 clutch adjustment?
I installed a Centerforce 1 clutch and PP in my 78 (had the flywheel faced and balenced plus new pilot and throwout bearing too). I adjusted the clutch engagement about 2.5" off the floor but when I disengage to shift I have to mash the pedal almost to the floor to get it to disengage. Seems like the higher the RPM's the further the pedal has to travel to disengage. Is that how it works, or am I missing something.

Just guessing, but I think you need an adjustable pivot ball to get your linkage adjusted right.
Most, including myself, have had to go to them to get the right geometry on the clutch linkage.
Hope this helps.

I think Lars posted the dimension for the ball stud a while back? maybe you can find it in the archives?

This is apparently a very common problem which we have discussed at great length. I have opted for the bubba fix - I extended my clutch rod.

Is the adjustable pivot ball something that's needed for the Centerforce clutch? I replaced the ball stud and fork with new GM parts and they were exactly the same as the ones I took out. I measured everything before installation to make sure the new parts were the same as the old.
