I got new tires, but it has this blue stuff on it...
Got new tires, Goodyear Eagle GT II. Though it has this blue stuff over the whitewall of the tire. How do I get this stuff off of the tire? I don't like blue on my car, it doesn't look right...

soap and water with a brush about as course as your toothbrush, but bigger. I've even taken it off at the carwash with selector set to soap. I have heard of people having a hard time getting the blue off. Probably becuase they put a poor mixture of this protective blue layer on the tire. It's only there to keep the white lettering white. Can you imagine if your tires were stacked from the factory and the white lettering was rubbing against the back of another tire. The white lettering would be BLACK. You'd say where are my #$%@ing RWL's i didn't order black wall! :lol:

They are too big to put in the dishwasher, but if your wife has one of those loofa scrub dealies hangin' in the shower, that'll work real good. :lolg:
