anybody use those fiberglass seat belt covers...underneath the seats?
i am installing my new carpet on my 74 and was wondering if any of you fellas still use the seat belt covers that fit underneath the seat....also, for you guys that installed new carpeting, did you actually cut an area out (of the new carpeting) for the seat belts, or did you just bolt the seat belt over the top of the new carpeting? thanks in advance

I do not use my covers, and I did cut out the carpeting so that well can drain without soaking up and smelling....

I mounted my seat belt covers under the carpet. I figure this will prevent pocket change from getting lost. I need to be able to find every cent to save for future mods,

My covers are plastic. I used them and cut out the carpet. It makes a nicer job. Craig

I used the covers and cut out the carpet. I think that you have to cut out the carpet of the belts won't work.
