I'm not crazy about the flairs either but they are not the worst I have seen.I could deal with them.I don't like what appears to be chromed side louvers.Love the side pipes.I'm enjoying your vette hunt.

I voted looks decent, but the front flairs ... there's just something off about them. I think it's because the front and rear flares are the same size.

Not bad. It's not original so you won't be ostracized for modding it. I like flares if the body sits low on the tires...that rear will surely need to be lowered. Why no engine bay shots? :skep: I'm sure someone in the area can take a look at it for ya. It gets my vote.

Just got this in from owner
Needs some detailing and missing the dist. cover. I see A/C and PB but no reply back yet on if it has PS. Still not bad for 10K.

Looks OK from here. No saying where the price might end up after 9 days.
OOps - just saw the buy it now option.
Those MT valve covers are the best aftermarket ones I've seen - heavy cast.
I have one problem, though. The wording at the bottom is funny:
" READ CAREFULLY. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY.You are bidding on the right to purchase this 1972 Chev.Corvette. "
The RIGHT to purchase it ? Huh ? People actually sell PICTURES of their
cars for thousands of dollars, thanks to the english language. I'm sure it
is just foolish wording ... but then it's not my $$.
Good luck ... and take your time .... and you earned the right to NOT shut up.

David,
Just my opinion, but a car like this will not go up in value and will be harder to sell if the time comes. It has NOM engine, wrong color, fender flares, wiper/washer system not working, etc. He mentions fiberoptics not working....well, the 72 didn't have them. It looks like the center console trim plate is from a 69-71 car.
If you like it that is all that matters then.

Flares look good. Price seems fair. Not great, but fair. Something about the car just doesn't look right to me. Can't put a finger on it, but something is wrong. And why no engine pics?

Way too many criminals selling on E-bay...I'm not fond of the flares, and the car sits way too high - especially in the rear....how did he fit those flat spoke wheels on the car without hitting the calipers?
I wouldnt touch this deal until the seller said I was buying the car...not the right to buy the car!
Looks ok otherwise.

Re: WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? (Weird Science)
I think it looks great. I used to live in Lindsay which is near Maysville so this car caught my attention naturally. I like the flares and the only concern that I would have is that when I did live in the area, the roads were not that great in the surrounding farming areas. So unless the car was maintained regularly, the suspension and related components may need attention. Otherwise, corrosion in that part of the country is non existent. And with the exception of the mods, the car should be well preserved. That is, if the car stayed in the area for the entire time. I like the way that it looks and the interior looks pretty fair based on the pictures provided. So I gather that it is subject to nothing other than the normal wear and tear. I would buy it.

Re: WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? (bgrice)
Just talked to the guy. must be used car salesman. Much double talk. Eng is well 120K and suspension is in need of total rebuild so F that idea.
Thanks for input guys, really appreciate your support.
