Broke a side post battery connector...
I thought the battery was dead. I put a wrench on the plus side terminal and when I pulled it, the bolt sheared off between the battery and the connector. The bolt is "frozen" in the connector and I can't turn it to get it out. I'm soaking it in WD-40, but don't think that's going to do much good. The battery corrosion appears to have "welded" the bolt to the connector. Anybody got any ideas?
BTW, When the bolt sheared off, it broke the battery case, so I'm going to have to buy a new battery anyway... Nothing is easy.

if it is corosion from the battery soak the cable in water and baking soda. it may take a bit but the baking soda will get rid of the battery crap.

I'd bite the bullet, toss it and buy new :leaving:

because the case is broke i would not worry about it and just toss the battery and get a new one
Edit: What I'm trying to do is avoid buying a whole new positive battery cable.

You can't grab the lead part with vice grips or similar? If not, I would try to borrow a die grinder and cut the lead enough that the bolt can be removed. I despise those universal cable ends-I would do everthing I could to avoid those.
