What ever happened to ol' Steve? I recall his 'Merlin' being on ebay for some ungodly figure and then he disappeared. Has he left us for good?

He sold it to another guy, who, if I remember correctly, lives in Michigan and uses forum name Panamayellow58. He also owns many other vettes.

It was Minnesota so your all close but no cigar. :hat
I had asked him in a post if he was going to show it and he said yes but I havent seen it and I missed one of the big shows down at Treasure Island casino. Hoping to see it possibly this next summer.
If I do I'll take plenty o pics if I have a camera handy.

Found a
. I drove him to the airport when he flew to Texas to get it, before it was all beefed up. That car was a hassle and a half. Too bad he never got it running fully. Looks like the guy who bought it did though.

Merlin is For Sale in the D/FW area... Next time I'm in Ft. Worth I'll stop and check it out.

If nobody has been able to get this thing to perform after all these years maybe it wouldn't be a terrible idea to re-think the induction set up so it can finally be driven and enjoyed.

1350 hp?
Seriously? Are folks still thinking that thing ever made that sort of power? Without going into details....I know the chassis dyno sessions struggled to get near 500 RWHP. Everytime there was a post...Steve would extrapolate some HP number and then someone would convert it..and then someone else would convert it again..and next thing you know we had 4 digit HP.
A lot of mismatched parts in the engine combination.
Maybe someone did get it to run better later on?
I did hear the paint was very nice back then....but you didn't want to look too close at some of the other chassis details.
