Default Question on PO2 hubcaps

A buddy of mine has the PO2 hubcaps on his 68. The set on the car came from another forum member and are exactly as we remember them, with raised center caps. He recently bought a second set to have spares and this set has flat center caps. Does anyone know why they would be different? Were there two designs? Heres a couple of pictures

Thanks
Jim

The wheel cover in the first photo was an available option on other Chevrolet passenger cars of approximately the same time period as the P01 (1968) and P02 (1969-1973) wheel covers were offered on Corvettes.

It is essentially the same cover as the Corvette part with a different center cap. Very easy to spot the difference though... As you noticed! :)

Thanks for the info, any difference between the PO1 & PO2 versions or just a code change?

According to the Black Book, PO1 was offered for 68 only and PO2 was 69 up.
Have a great Chrissy!
