Default Windshield removal

How do I remove the windshield on my 75? Is a special tool required for the chrome trim?

You can get both the trim tool and a windshield knife from Snap-On for under 20 bucks. Pop the trim off with the tool, then the knife is L shaped and goes underneath the glass and you pull it through the urethane to cut it loose. On the bottom you will need to use a long thin sharp kitchen knife or make your own knife, or Snap-On may offer a long blade for their knife, I don't know for sure since I made my own knife for the bottom. Cut it loose, then pull it out. On reinstall you either need to use the urethane stripping or if you use the tubes you will need spacers under the glass to get it out to the level that is high enough that the trim fits up against the glass. Test fit the glass without gluing it in and put the trim on before you do it permanantly just to make sure it is at the right height.

The latest catalog from "Eastwood Co" has windshield removal tools. Might be what your looking for.
