Default bench bleed master cylinder

How do you bench bleed the master cylinder? I put all new lines on and the rear of the master cylinder was dry. I refilled it, but can't get fluid into the lines. The fronts are fine.

Default Re: bench bleed master cylinder (70 LS1)

I bleed M/C's off the car in a bench vise. THere are several ways to bleed them. I've used the hoses kits, syringes, and finally ended up going to NAPA and getting the flared steel lines that fit the M/C ports. They're metric, but NAPA has small adapter line that work well. screw the flared ends in and cut off the other end and curl it into the M/C reservoirs so they areunder the fluid level. Now use a screw driver and slowly push the piston in and watch for air bubbles in the fluid. When you no longer get bubbles it's ready to go backonthe car and bleed the rest of the system. The stroke for bleeding is 3/4-1"
