Flywheel size and starters for 1968 427
In order to swith my 1968 427/Automatic to the Keisler 5 speed, I find that I need to switch from the 168 tooth flexplate to a 153 tooth flyweel and replace my starter (Keisler is out of the larger bell housings).
Any downside to doing this - It appears to me that the block is drilled for either the inline mounting or staggered mounting. My original starter uses the staggered bolt pattern - if I get a Powemaster mini-starter for 153 tooth flywheel and inline mounting will it fit my car??
Thanks,
Ray
