No reverse lights HELP!!!!!!
Time to get a sticker and no reverse lights. Turn signals work and the fuse is good. (Turn signal should be on the same fuse, yes?) Bulbs look good and check out with a meter. No voltage on the contacts where the bulb fits. What's next? Also the red outer portion of the inner lights don't go on with the lights or brakes. This is a 77 4 speed.
Advice now? Is there some switch on the tranny to check to see if it knows its in reverse? What do the red outer lights do (never see it from the back!)?
 :(

Yes, there is a reverse light switch on the side of the transmission. It should have a green wire and a pink wire. The connection to the wiring harness is on the firewall behind the drivers side exhaust manifold. Get under the car and check to see if the rod is connected between the reverse shifter arm and the switch. If it is, then you need to check for voltage at the wiring connector to the switch, and check to see if the switch is properly closing when the car is put into reverse.
