Btw, what caught my attention was that a CD player with a car application did not exist in 1981, the year the CD player was commercially launched on the planet.

my '95 didn't even come with a CD player. apparently took a while for them to catch on...
I doubt there were too many CD's released in '81. Seems line I recall Duran Duran Rio and Peter Gabriel So as a couple of the first all digital CD's to hit mainstream...
