Muncie case to bellhousing?
Looking for the torque spec for the Muncie to bellhousing bolts?? They seem to tighten up and then stop. Don't want to crack the case or housing.

Did you chase the threads with a tap to make sure they were cleaned out? Or the bolts may be too long. Just a questioning attitude. One of those things they try to instill in us at work.

MotorheadWow, 55! Didn't think it's be that high.
Eddie----the bolt threads are all clear. It just felt funny when I was tightening and all of a sudden a stop. I'm a little spooked since I already cracked one bellhousing.

I could not find the actual numbers for the 4 speed Muncie for what they call "Case to clutch housing bolts" all other manual transmissions are there though even the 3 speed Muncie and the torque for all seems to be 55 ft/lbs
