What to do with exhaust grounding straps.
When I removed my SB exhaust to switch to side exhaust, there were two grounding straps attached to the exhaust clamp bolts and then to the cross member. Now that the clamps and exhaust are gone, what do I do with the grounding straps?
Remove them?

What year car are you working on? I don't remember anything like that on my 75, quite sure there was nothing in the AIM manual as well. Taking a guess, I don't think those straps should be required anymore. I don't know why they would be there in the first place either.

The grounding straps are to keep radio reception clear, especially on AM.
Newer radios dont have as much of a problem as the old ones. I ran with out the igintion shield for a long time and never got ignition noise but then I never listen to AM
