950HP to a BG Mighty..
I`ve searched and read about this carb for a while and it seem to be a good "cruisable" carb. I get the feeling that my 950HP Carb is more of a racing carb than a cruiser.
Any inputs on this? Anyone using the Mighty Demon 850?

Gotta be honest I am not real familiar with the BG, but can tell you the 950 HP only wet flows about 830 crm. The 950 with annular discharge nozzles is an excellant street carb. Maybe it just needs some tuning ?

I don't think that any carb out of the box is perfect for every application.
The mighty Demons are a step up from Speed Demons. Barry Grant really just originally put out a bunch of bad carbs. Like the bear claw and silver claw and he used everybody buying them as his R&D department.
I bought the 750 Speed Demon and later the 825 Race Demon. They have some good ideas, but you have to tweak them in. I've been fighting my 750 SD. It turned out that the pink squirter cam from the factory had been improperly installed and was giving me a delayed squirt at slowly opening the throttle blades. Everything on it has been messed with including .125 holes drilled in the primary throttle blades. I'm running .031 air restrictors in the front and .070 in the rear. The front squirters have been drilled from stock .031 ot .044 The downleg boosters have been polished and I went to bigger .0130 steel needle and seats.
The 950 HP you have might be on the large side for under 468 ci unless it's a hopped up motor.
If your thinking about ordering from some place like Summit Racing, check out the DaVinci 830 super series carbs
