How can a car not have seat belts? Well it does now!! Not exactly stock belts but priced right. New bolts and nuts. Added shoulder belts. Wesco belts fit good and the brackets and floorpan are now good for another 36 years.I had to drill out the mounting holes in the belt. They were about a 1/16 inch too small. I had a bear of a time getting the center bolt out (the one under the seat). It was an allen head and pretty seized up. Worked at it for about 20 minutes with an impact and liquid wrench. I finally had to drill and tap it. What do you think?

The belt was there, with the adjuster, but the lap belt buckle side was gone. (a lot of good that did) and no shoulder belts. I was restoring my 67 camaro 20 years ago and "misplaced" my front belts. My state requires them as most do and I had to buy new ones. I guess that is what happened with the vette. A good reason to put all the spare parts in boxes and mark all the boxes.

I would think the missing front seat would be a bigger problem than missing belts! HA!

Is the female half a lever-type or push-button? I always thought the brushed lever-type buckles were pretty sweet.

I'm in the same situation. Waiting on a shark bar to mount 5-pt Simpsons on...

The lap belt 1/2 on the outside is the male (non latch) side. I looked into the sharkbar 5 point. The 5 point looked like it is a breeze to install. It looked pretty sweat but I am trying to keep it stock inside the car. I do need the shoulder belt cup now that I have mounted the shoulder belts. Does anyone have a buckle cup in Tobacco color, or any color and I will paint it? The brushed buckles look like factory originals according to the build sheets.
