[PICS] 6-point rollbar installed!!
Got the car back today... The roll bar turned out great... Still have to re-install carpet etc. and do some cosmetic work... The rollbar builder would've done it, but he wouldn't have been able to finish the car today, but I wanted the car back today...
The 6-point rollbar is built with following features:
1) NHRA legal (the guy builds race cars since 1967). The rear bars are 30 degrees from the main hoop (minimum required to be legal).
2) convertible top still functional
3) minimal cut to deck
4) swing out side bars
5) lightweight chrome-moly tubing
6) Harness hook ups installed
The rollbar builder is:
L&K Race Cars, 2121 2nd Ave South, St. Petersburg, FL 33712
(727)821-1242
Here are the pics:

GS, looks great. How long did it take for them to build the roll bar.
I am pretty sure he stated his reasoning several times before on that subject...

Schmucker I stated many many times why I wanted bolt in. It went right over most peoples heads.
Nice Cage, I would glass in the holes in the floor AFTER painting where the cage is welded to the frame. This will corode quickly, Paint it well.
Are you going to paint the cage black?? Would also be a good time to do the floor.

Where do you hook up the 4 point harness? The cross bar is way too low, in a crash the belt would not hold you back.
The rear attachment point should be 4 no more then 6 inches maximum below the shoulder. Also the back of the seat will be up against the cross bar along with your head on the upper bar. I was suprised to see the main hoop that far forward.
The main hoop is also mig welded directly to the frame? I guess we don't require a plate having a good frame???
I will be interested in more pictures as you finish each step.
