deane,

I just left my cousin a message, hopefully he will be able to get back to me soon. He's on the road alot. I don't even know if he still has it at this point.

The paint looks very good for the age, it's got the normal stone chips and we did find an area that a pervious owner had touched up.

My cousin is a clean freak and all his stuff is very well taken care of.

I'll get back to you ASAP.

deane,

Just heard from him, the only thing that has changed is the master cylinder and calipers were all replaced last fall.

If you want to see the car he will need about a weeks notice so he can make sure he is around to show it.

Shoot me an e-mail or PM if your interested.

It's in Syracuse NY roughly 1/2 hour off of the NYS Thruway (Rt.90) and maybe 15 minutes off of Rt. 81.

Let me know when you'd like to make the trip and I'll try to set things up on this end.

Syracuse! I lived in B'ville and Liverpool. Small world. Could you either e-mail me at rmcgoldrick@wellesleyma.gov or call my cell 508.277.4255. By the way, did Bob at the Corvette Barn ever work on that car?

I know he had it at the CorvetteBarn for a high speed vibration, honestly don't know if Bob has ever done any other work on the 70.

Bob and Dennis took my 68 from boxes and returned a driveable vette to me after another shop stuck it to me good, since then we had them restore my brothers 69 vert.

I keep in touch with Dennis, that boy can do everything.

I'll shoot you an e-mail in a few.

This has been sold pending payment to finalize the deal.

Deane,

From what I understand you negotiated too well and got yourself a good deal, although we should've charged you extra for cold weather duty.

Pleasure meeting you and I'm sure you will be pleased with your new Vette.

Wow! A nice pleasant "for sale" thread for a change...just like it should be.
Enjoy the '70 Vette Deane, looks like you made a smart purchase.

Hey Rick, thanks for everything. Being a NCRS and local chapter member I' ve certainly inspected my share of vettes. I'd like to let you know that not only is this car a great piece of corvette history with all the background car history that you and Gary gave me. But this car also checked out exactly and in some cases better than expected. dealing with you and Gary was truly a pleasure!! I am indeed looking forward to having that one in the garage.
Thanks again for all your help.

Thanks Deane, I think someone is going to get a nice '71 LS5 Conv. survivor pretty soon. No, mine hasn't been judged so I really can't use the "survivor" term to describe my car...it's just an all original garage kept '71 Corvette.
Still trying to come to terms emotionally to part with it. I've owned it since 1975.

I've already tried to get him drunk and pry the keys out of his fingers. He drank me under the table! No really, I tried to open a dialog about buying it, he seems to still have a love affair going with the girl. I don't blame him though. I am lusting after her myself. :o

Are you stalking me txsilverado? Just kidding. Yeah, although I know I need to let go of her some day, my feet really get cold when someone starts getting serious and has cash in hand.

Thanks for the interest!

Dave
