Default Is http://www.vettehound.com a scam?

Okay, I hunt all over the net for my dream car,
I find this website, http://www.vettehound.com lots of sweet cars and a high volume of cheap cars,
I wrote to several ads and they are the scams where the want you to send cash and they will transport the car to you,

So when I try to contact the admin to report these ads the admin email address is bad and I can't find any other ways to contact the site owner which raises that old red flag the site is a scammers heaven,

Anyone have feedback on this site?

Many thanks
Cheers,
p.

I thought they were a consignment spot. I like the '69 roadster with 15,000 miles and only $7500 or the '67 roadster, 427 - 400 hp with 45000 miles and $15,000! Many are dirt cheap and yet they have several 1980's with high miles and call them "mechanic's specials" for some big bucks. Wanna bet those are the ones they really have for sale!

Default lots of scam there

Saw an ad there "69 convertible 9000$". Pictures were decent. I asked about the location and this is the reply.

"Hi,
Hope you're having a great day. The car has 0 miles and the VIN # is : 194679S707927 . The paint has no signs of sun damage, no ding or scratches, no rust of course, beautiful and shiny any way you look at it.
My name is Heleni and I just went through a nasty divorce and don't have the credit to rent a house or obtain a loan. Thanks to the Idiot LOL... That's why I am selling the car so cheap. Now it's just me and my son.. We are in Palm Beach, Florida ..... I will cover the shipping fees and insurance. This way the total amount you will have to pay will be around $ 9500 Best Regards,
Heleni"

Typical scam, but seems that just a couple of minutes ago some of the scam adds were removed.

Cheers,
C3 for me please

Don't know whats up with them.
All of their Vettes are in different states.
The restored Red/Red 365hp cnvt for $20.000 is unbelievable.
The Marroon 66 coupe was advertised here on the Forum just over a year ago.
I think they are out to Fleece you.

Not sure what's going on but this URL will take you to the real Vettehound site. They have been online for a long time.

I have seen cars on that site that I knew did not belong to the stated contact owner. I have also called several REAL owners to alert them of the scam. It appears they find cars for sale on other sites, cut & paste the photo's and change the address and owner info. I have seen so many like the above, I do not use this site anymore and would advise other's BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the valid ad's on this site, they are at the mercy of the scammers, and should pull their ad's and post them elsewhere.

JMO.....

Troy started that a few years back, since he sold his soul to IB I think Vettehound is pretty much dead, there are cars on there from like 3 years ago

I had no idea. I'm just a virtual tire kicker, but maybe I won't virtually kick any tires over there.

I always thought it was a classified page like anyone else. There was obviously some scams on there, but you'll have that anywhere.
