Default 1969 Corvette L71 427/435 convertible for sale...

My interests have changed and it's time to find a good home for my '69 L71 427/435 convertible. The car is a solid 9.5 out of 10...inside and out and is true numbers matching. I just had the car evaluated and appraised by Tony of Tony's Corvettes in Gaithersburg, MD...one of the top Vette specialists in the country. Tony said it would take very little effort to make the car Top Flite. The car has won over thirty trophies and plaques since I've owned it.

Here's a list of what the car has...

Riverside Gold
convertible
black vinyl interior
427 L71 427/435 hp engine
4-speed M21 transmission
optional hardtop (not original to car...needs to be painted to match and includes storage stand)
4.11 rear axle ratio
Alpine AM/FM/CD player (original AM/FM and bezel comes with car)
Boston Acoustics speakers in kick panels
MSD 6A capacitive discharge ignition box hidden behind passenger side of dash
manual steering
power brakes
power windows
P02 Deluxe Wheel Covers (excellent condition)
52k miles

The engine was rebuilt by a previous owner...bored .030 over, all three carbs were sent to Holley for rebuilding, transmission was rebuilt, L88 camshaft installed.

The original K66 transistor ignition is not installed, but goes with the car.

The car comes with documentation back to the original window sticker, copy of the original sales invoice, copies of all previous titles, a partial tank sticker, and all receipts for anything done while I've owned. The car has five matching radial tires (spare has never been on the ground).

The only problem with the car I'm aware of is the wipers don't work, though I have had them going on occasion. This hasn't been an issue for me as the car is garaged year round and does not come out except in good weather.

Tony appraised the car at $76,000. I'm asking $72,500. If anyone here is interested or knows someone who might be, please contact me and I have plenty of photos and can forward Tony's evaluation.

The car is located just outside Frederick, MD. I encourage anyone who is interested to come see the car. You won't be disappointed.

Here's some photos...

Riverside Gold was apparently one of the least popular colors that year (maybe the least popular) and was a one year only color as it was dropped after the '69 model year. Not popular then but people at shows now admire and compliment the color.

Funny how tastes change over time.

...the Black interior looks best to me with Gold. I've seen Saddle with Gold and, to me, looks .

...very nice car, now if I can only get those pesky 6 lil' numbers to match the PowerB.....

I'm sure he will deduct $5.00 from the asking price if you want it.
