You have a nice looking car there. Surprised you have no interest at $18K but the market appears to be tough right now so maybe not totally surprised. Love the green, almost looks like the 71 Brandshatch Green I had, Fathom Green was a little more yellow I think but it could be the pictures and my aging eyes.

I wouldn't give up on selling it either, might be easier than finding a nice 70-72 in the same price range.

Good luck with your sale or trade and best regards,

David Howard

David,

Thanks you, In my opinion you kind of have to look the car over closely in person to see it's flaws, but that is probably the case with most cars. I try to be straight with potential buyer's as not to waste their time or mine. I may not be the best salesman. I have honestly only listed it on my local craigslist for a week or so. Not like I have been trying super hard to move it. I would of course still sell it outright, but am interested in a trade if the right one came along.

I agree completely about the color. It almost seems brands hatch has a bit more blue in it to me.

Honestly I don't mind keeping it at all either. I like the car quite a lot and with a little work with the interior and under the hood (detailing) it would show a lot better.

compare prices to any F or A body these are a bargain. someone snap this up. the fact the block was decked (to me) says proper rebuild shouldnt scare anyone off. Nice ride good luck.

I am going to be in the market for one of these cars about 2 months from now (selling flip house) and would like to know why a '70-'72 would be preferred over a '69.
Thank you for your help.

Clean looking car you have there!

Agreed on these being a bargain. I keep expecting a dramatic upswing on the early C3 cars. Thank you for the compliment, it is a decent car, far from perfect, would need paint and some rechromed trim as well as some interior work.

As to '70-'72 being more desirable, I don't know that that is the case. It is just my personal preference. I liked the slightly flared out area behind the wheels on the '70 and up, as well as the fender extractor shape on the '70-'72 a little better.
