This Vette has already sold

Hello Yall,
Just Reduced Price...With plenty of regret I am posting my 1978 25 Anniversary for sale, located in the Austin, TX area. The Vette is in excellent mechanical condirion and almost totally redone. A few enhancements have been added to the Vette, such as a more powerful cam than the original, Edelbrock Intake and Carb, Redid the seats and door panels a little different than the original (both are now black and silver, which makes this vette pretty unique), Tail lights are after market and The vette has all wheels power brakes and vented calibers. So if you are looking for a factory original, this is not it, but you really would not know it unless you took a very close look, I tried to keep it looking as original as possible. I think the enhancement I made to the Vette made it a much better Vette...But you be the judge!

Important Update 10/22/2012::
Two weeks ago I took my 78 to a performance mechanic (he has a Corvette he is building that has 2000 horses under the hood) and asked him to inspect the Vette and repair whatever it needed. When I get it back in the next week or two, the following would be completed on it:

1-Brand new Spicer u-joints...All four of them
2-All fluid leaks wil be repaired (engine, transmission and rear end)
3-Right Tie-rod will be replaced
4-Carburator will be torn down and totally rebuilt
5-AC and Gages will be inspected and in good working condition
6-Engine timing will be adjusted

By the time I get it back from him, this Vette will be running better than when it was new. Based on these latest repairs, my asking price is now $13500 firm...There is not much else this Vette needs.Please email at ollie@aggiebossman.com, or call at 512-497-7075 if you need more details, pictures or have questions.

Nice! I really like what you did to the enterior. Does it have a working AC?

yes the AC does work...I hardly ever use it. I usually drive with windows down because I love to hear the rumble of that engine! One thing about the AC, the Air does not blow evenly strong from all the vents, but it blows cold.

Does the transmission have an overdrive gear or is it a three speed? I couldn't tell from your "My corvette photos", but does it have the red decals on the door? I personnally do not like that.

I had the Decals removed, because it looked like a company car with them.

The vette has 163,899...But the engine was rebuilt around 1995. The Vette had 124000 when I bought it in 1998. The former owner told me that it actually had 24000, but he could not prove it.
