All repair work is well documented and photographs of all work are available with the car. Have original data for shipping, documentation on car, owners manual, and extensive research on origin of the car.

Car has spider cracks on the front and rear bumpers making it a driver.

I have over $15K invested in getting the car to this point. I would be happy to get my $15K back making this a great deal.

Car has a clean and clear title, currently sitting in my garage in Pennsylvania with collector tags on it. It passes inspection every year and is a screamer to drive. A/C will need a charge and a belt. There is no cruise control on the car, I removed that myself when I installed the manual transmission.

Spare tire is not sitting in the tub of the car so you can inspect it if you wish. Rear tire carrier restored but not on the car at this time. New spare tire and original spare tire tub comes with the car but is not installed.

Thank you for looking.

I will keep Sparty I in the stables for sure. Working to make room for Sparty II in 2014. Then I will have one for show, one for go.

Answering some PM questions here for the rest of those watching. This car has no rail or frame damage and has not been hit. I referbished the underside completely including stripping, priming, painting of the complete under carraige. You can see here some of the work in the rear end. New VBP composite spring, new 3.35 rear end, new Bilstein shocks, new trailing arms from Duntov Motors, new cross member, etc. I didn't cut corners on this rebuild at all, rather, when in doubt I probably went overboard but I wanted it done correctly. Anyway, the same attention was given up front too.

Car really has to be seen and driven to be appreciated but let me know if you have more questions and I can post more information, glad to do it, proud of the finished product.

Thank you for looking.

Answering another inquiry on the car. I spent quite a bit of time determining what I wanted in performance with this car before going through the time and expense of buying the 350HO crate engine. At 330HP I new it would breath new life into the old 77 but I also knew it would make the car more dangerous if other details were not taken into account so I installed new brake lines, brake cylinders, calipers, and all things to make the car stop quickly using the hydroboost system. With more than 330HP I tought it would be important to stop it as well as start it, and I installed the teeroids to help assure control by using rack and pinion steering versus the old style on the car previously. Rear end was changed out and 3.08 gears were replaced with 3.35 to help at the low end while still giving me low RPM's in overdrive while cruising down the highway.

It looks like a 77 from the outside, but it runs much more spirited than an stock 77 could ever muster, including the L-82. There is so much to share that I should probably build another book like I did for my 1971 Brandshatch Green Barn Find Sparty. Hmmmm, got me thinking.

Anyway, thanks again for looking and keep the questions coming.

Yes, car has a tilt/telescopic steering column in it.
I bought the car in August, 2007, with 79,682 miles on it.
I removed the engine and started the restoration in December, 2008 with 80,200 miles on the car. I finished the car in late 2009.
Car had 81,913 miles on the odometer (I left the original miles alone) so the car has 1,713 miles on it since my restoration. That means I have averaged less than 600 miles per year each year for 2010, 2011, and last year 2012.
So I guess the answer is 1,713 miles on the restored car, 81,913 on the odometer.
Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for looking.

Answering another PM. I do not have the build sheet for this car but I do have the deliver sheet from Chevrolet Morot Division showing all the original options with the car.

Car was delivered to CW Lewis Chevrolet, Inc in White Sulphur Springs West Virginia on December 27, 1976. Invoice for this car was $8,165.05 delivered and included $206 destination charge. Original car color was Corvette Orange.

And I have more information on the car including the 1977 Owner's manual and the 1977 Passenger Car Maintenance Schedule. I do not have the original owner protecto-plate though, I wish I did.

Thanks for asking and thanks for looking.

No catalytic convertor on the car. Exhaust flows through hooker headers into the Magna-Flow mufflers using X-pipe. In Pennsylvania we have no emissions testing requirements for cars titled as classics or antiques (15 and 25 years old). This car is titled as a classic here which means no emissions testing but annual safety testing is required, which I like.

Thanks again for the questions, keep them coming.

Inspections are good for one year. This car inspection is good through June 30, 2013.

And yes, the vacuum system works and lights flip up as they should.

Interior replacement included new carpet front and rear of car, new rear compartment, new door panels, new seat covers and foam, new dash pads, new center console, and more.

The more I talk about this car and the more I detail what I have done with it the more I am beginning to second guess my decision to sell it.

Let me know if there are any more questions either here or by PM.

Thank you for looking.

Oh, and if by chance someone does buy this car it will come with about 2,000 pictures that detail the work that was done on it along the way. One thing I do is document my work and this car is no exception. I didn't do a book about this restoration like I did with Sparty but this car and all the work I did gave me the courage to dig into Sparty and do the frame off restoration on the 71.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you Ed, I appreciate it. I try to be honest about everything I do and this car will be no acception. I have touched nearly every part on this car, some more than once, some a lot more than once, so I know what has been replaced, repaired, and what has been left alone. It is not a perfect car but it is a very nice driver.
Best regards,
David

Questions about the transmission. Car had a TH350 automatic in it when I bought it and a Z28 Camaro engine in it. I took both out of the car and replace the engine with a GM Performance 350HO (350/330) Vortec engine. I bought my engine from Fred Beans in Doylestown, PA. http://www.shopfbparts.com/servlet/Detail?no=74.

I wound up swapping out the carburator for a better Holly and it runs very nicely with this set up. I did buy the deluxe motor kit, I did not buy the turn key kit because the turn key kit required I consider a new hood due to clearances. I opted not to do that so I do not have the surpentine belt system on the car. Dual SPAL fans are on the car, along with a Dewitt aluminum radiator to keep the engine cool. Runs a constant 180F. Even in traffic the fans come on when temps rise and pulls the temp right back down to 180. Love this setup, you will too.

I also swapped the automatic for a five speed with overdrive, Keisler built Tremec TKO500 including the bell housing, etc. With a .68 overdrive you run about 65mph at 2000 rpm. I also put the hurst shifter in the car with the T shift set up for Corvette.
http://www.keislerauto.com/vmchk/gm/...page_tabs.html

I had to modify the tunnel to accomodate the side mount on the TKO but I designed it from ideas from Binnie here on the forum and made my own kit. I have the template, and pictures here showing how this is done and the final results came out great.

So hopefully that answers the engine and transmission questions, if there are more questions please let me know and I will do my best to answer them. Many of the swap outs I have talked about here are posted on the Corvette Forum and you can find them by searching using my "AllC34Me" name. Engine tunnel mods, engine swap, transmission swap, rear end install, front end install, they are all in the forum. Feel free to check them out.

Thanks for looking.

David Howard

If you're looking for a notchback C-3 that has had the moneypit already taken care of, this may well be the car for you. You won't find a more honest description of one.

I'm quite certain the answer will be no, but I'm asking the wife anyway. For those of you who are newer here, this is not David's first rodeo, nor his first 1977. He only does things thoroughly with quality parts and a lot of personal attention to detail. His documentation of any car he builds will be as thorough and detailed as the actual build. You can be totally confident that the car contains everything described and that it is properly installed. Good luck with your sale!
