Default WTB- 1978-1982 Corvette

Hi all,
I am looking for a 78-82 Corvette, any condition wanted. I am fine with a project or salvage title. I am located in central Iowa, but am willing to drive far for a good deal. If you have anything then reply to the post or email me at whitestreak3@gmail.com. I am a motivated buyer.
Thank you for your time,
Justin

I have a 78 I'll be selling this spring. The price will depend on how much of the stuff I have for it that ia available. I'm replacing the front suspention and brakes on it now.
I have three options for radiator. The original. a New corvettes central oem or a Dewitts aluminum. Also the entire new interrior still in the boxes.
So the car with the new front suspention and brakes with new stainless lines and original cooling is $5,500. Additional new parts will add to that figure.
It has a new paint, although it isn't the best paint job. Mostly runs in the clear. A good paint man could make it a decent paint I think.
Replacement engine auto trans A/C car. Anniversary paint job red interrior.

@chstitans42
Thanks for the reply. That looks like a very nice car, but I am located in central Iowa and that is quite a distance to travel. Thank you very much for responding though.

How much are you looking to spend? I have a red on red 1978 with 32K miles on it all original that I am probably looking at around 15K for. I am in wisconsin.

Justin,

I have a real nice unmolested never modified all origional 80, Dark Claret, Doeskin int, L-82 auto, 39,000 origional documented miles. Everything on the car works, air blows cold, all documented service recitps, origional window sticker, and dealer new car paperwork. The car was purchased local here in eastern NE, always garaged, summer driven.

Maybe the money you plan to spend on travel could be used to buy more car for yourself? I'd let it go for 14K, you will not find a nicer driving more complete C3 for that price anywhere.

I understand, are you willing to listen to a little advice?

I have owned several of these cars over the last 30 yrs, I currently have 3 of them. If you are looking to spend 6 to 7K. Typically the repairs will force your hand and you will end up spending more, and ultimatly you will end up with less.

Buy as much car as you can to start with, you will enjoy it more and be way ahead in end. Maybe,,, wait till you can afford more car?

I see listings for cars simular to my 80 all the time for 18 to 20K, I have not advertised it anywhere yet. I was going to wait till the weather warms up. If you change your mind, let me know.

Agreed. I bought mine(1978 L82 4 speed #s matching), running well, rebuilt original engine. Four speed tranny gone through. I got a good deal on it at 4750 and have already spent another 4 grand on it in parts! I do every bit of work on it my self. I have it apart and ready for paint in the next few weeks. You can find a decent one for 7k but its going to need work and working on these things for someone mechanically inclined is terribly annoying to say the least.I know that god is a corvette fan because thats the only real explanaion for how certain unreachable bolts on this car were put there to begin with. If you dont plan on or cant work on it, save more money cause youll be paying the "corvette tax" when ounget work done.

I still haven't gotten any pics of my 78. If you PM your e-mail address I'll try to get some over the weekend. It will sell in the $5,800 range. I'm putting all new front suspention parts on it and new brakes now. With all the new interior $7,500. The seat frames have been restored and powder coated with new hardware.
