Default New Price, $25k, FS 1971 BB 4 sp matching #s Bridgehampton blue

Purchased a Camaro so I now have classic car with a back seat for the kids, so I'm putting the 71 corvette BB on the market. I've owned it for 9 years. It is matching #s 454, however it has correct for the era LS6 alum heads, LS6 intake, LS6 pistons, and a holley 800. Its basically an LS6 clone. I had it dynoed and it made 430hp and 540 torque at the flywheel. It has factory 69 alum sidepipe covers, however underneath it has custom 3in pipes with spiral baffles to allow it to breathe. Power windows, power steering, 4 speed M21 trans, 3.55 posi rear, tilt-tele steering, new brakes/calipers all around, suspension bushings new steering box, VBP tie rods, recent BFG radials, radiator, gas tank...everything works, incl popup lights, and wiper system, all gauges work great. Interior is in great shape except the driver side door panel is scuffed on the bottom right corner (8 yrs of my foot hitting it getting in and out), pass side is perfect. I did replace the carpet. The car has no rust underneath anywhere, runs and drives great, very reliable driver quality car. Was repainted about 6 yrs ago, and has a few rock chips/scratches here and there because I drive the car 5-6 times a month. The car has won several first place awards in the corvette category at amateur car shows. Located in Austin, Texas, clear title. $25K obo, serious buyers feel free to call 281-702-8253 with questions. More pics avail upon request.

Beautiful car! Do you have any of the original engine parts, heads or intake?

sorry no I do not have the orig heads or intake...When I bought the car it had heads off a 65 425 hp vette, so I sold those and found a set of
LS6 alum heads to go with the LS6 intake and pistons that were already present...

I love the darker blue...mine is Lemans Blue 1970 built BB , 4 speed, 336 rear. So then, the gross figures should come in around 500 h.p. and 600 torque ??

I took the rear wheel hp and added 20% to get the flywheel hp.

Default Price drop to $30k

price drop to $30k . Can't believe where the market is for a matching #s Big block that is in great shape. Not NCRS quality, but a solid rust free driver that has no issues (well the clock doesn't work).

I think yer problem may be because of the sticker in the rear window.....Guess where I went to school!

Seriously, I'm in the process of re-painting my 70 L46 vert to sell.... If it was gone I'd buy yer car today.... That's and awesome car/price..... Good luck! Lee

The market for these chrome bumper C3's is very soft right now and has been for a few years. I tried to sell mine a while back, very original car, one correct color repaint, and got nothing but low ball offers. I wasn't asking much more then you are. I'm not giving the car away, so I just put it back in storage and drive it every now and then. Hopefully the market will pop up soon as I'd really like to sell the C3 and get into a C2.

Good luck with the sale!

Tom

PS: A German Shepherd keeps watch over my cars also...............

Thanks for the reply. I'm not going to give it away either... I want to get a Camaro/Chevelle/GTO/Trans am so the whole family can ride in one car, but its not worth taking less for mine. I bought my wife a nice 82 so we'll still have a vette in the family.

Gorgeous...especially with those factory side pipes! I had hooker chrome side mounts on my '71 LS5 but the factory ones just look so much better!

Is this car still available? I'm interested if it is. I think I could come to Austin next weekend to see it.
