1980 L-82 Located In New England
I'm selling my 2 owner highly optioned 17k mile (documented) Corvette L-82 (L-82 option includes HD radiator & HD battery & alternator), Automatic, FE-7 Gymkhana suspension Corvette. This Corvette has been garaged kept 100% of it's life (except while driven). It's nver been in any rain or bad weather ever. No rust anywhere, no damage ever. Here's a partial list of what's been done to the car during the last 5 years (900 miles total):
One 9k show quality single repaint in correct original classic white base coat / clear coat on a no hit laser straight body.
Painted T tops & #'s matching tinted glass T tops.
All exterior emblems nos, door handles nos, new power antenna.
Al Knock interior in correct red with new power window motors, power lock actuators, & switches, nos rear defroster switch (rare). Installed new PC board in correct L-82 tachometer.
Stock appearing 165 MPH "Corvette Clinic" speedometer installed.
All new gaskets & rubber parts...everything...including all correct waether strips.
Original aluminum wheels have been professionally polished & have absolutely no road rash, nos lug nuts, & new correct center caps.
Installed new "Classic Koni" Shocks.
New Goodyear 255-60-15 Eagle GT tires...which is the original optional size. This option has slightly modified (clearanced) inner fender lips from the factory.
Fresh 4 wheel alignment.
New stainless steel brakes & new pads.
Nos genuine GM 2.5'' hipo exhaust manifols, ported by Brezinski Racing, ceramic powder coated (gun metal grey) inside & outside.
Full Stainless Works 2.5'' mandrell bent true dual exhaust (1969 type with 2.5'' 80 style tailpipes).
Installed new genuine GM ZZ383 stroker crate motor 425hp, aluminum headed, roller cam engine, installed with new correct motor mounts. Motor has all new components: GMPP forged distributor, Edelbrock 750 cfm Q-jet, Edelbrock Performer intake, GMPP high flow performance water pump, GMPP high torque mini starter, fresh tune up, fresh mobil 1 oil change, MSD wires, cap, rotor, AC Delco plugs & AC pcv valve.
All new belts & correct GM hoses.
Fresh anti freeze & 180 high flow thermostat.
New battery & rebuilt stock alternator.
Stock appearing motor has nos genuine GM L-82 valve covers.
Black powder coated original dual snorkel air cleaer assembly with nos ducting, & a proper K & N filter.
Installed Hughes performance TH350 & Hughes Performance 2500 stall converter, with a Hughes deep finned aluminum trans pan, filled with fresh "Lucas Sure Shift" ATF.
Original 16k mile L-82, trans, & parts can go with the car.
Have original window sticker, brochure, & factory build sheet. Very late build date of 8-21-1980, VIN ends in 440267. One of the very last 80's produced & possibly the last L-82 made.
1980 is the last year of the famous "special high performance" L-82, It's also the last year corvette with absolutely no computer controls.
