Default [SOLD] F/S 1973 Stingray 454 4-speed

Bright red, 454 4-speed, OE side exhaust, True Spoke wire wheels. This car has been in my family for 30 years, continuously garaged and covered. New paint seven years ago, absolutely beautiful. New clutch, new exhaust, new Holley carburetor (still have the original Rochester carb too.) all in the past four years. The car has air, power steering, and power brakes (newer pads and stainless steel calipers). The engine compartment is clean and complete, but not fully detailed. Located in central Ohio. Asking $15,000/OBO.

Beautiful car! Original engine? If not, is it an original big block car? If yes to either question, this is is one heck of a deal... an air conditioned big block for $15K or less!!? Potential buyers better act quickly because this one won't be for sale for long!

Even if it was originally a small block car it's still a really nice looking driver for the money.

Unless the tach was changed it was born a big block (or at least an L82).

Thanks for the feedback! It really is a nice car. As far as I know, the engine and transmission are original equipment. The car has been in my family since 1983.

Looks very nice! Any underhood and underside pics? Is it an original red car per the trim tag? Thanks.

Engine compartment and windshield cowel photos are now added to my album on this site. Here is the URL to the album: https://www.corvetteforum.com/g/album/1377384

I spent some time this morning locating the serial number on the block, it matches the VIN.

I think the car was originally blue/green metallic. I had it disassembled and painted red about seven years ago. The car was stripped by hand using a razor blade (no sand blasting or chemical stripping).

Is that when the side pipes were added on? Is the rear valance panel glasssed in? (looks like it in the pics but not sure)

I'm not an expert, but I think "OE" means "Original Equipment", so, I'm guessing the pipes were added at the factory. But that's just a guess.

Snide, I'm pretty sure the factory only put sidepipes on C3s for one or two years and 73 was not one of them. They may be "original equipment" sidepipes in that the were manufactured by GM when GM was putting them on C3s but I don't think the factory put them on this car.

As the other members have noted, sidepipes were not OE in 1973.

This car sold yesterday. I want to thank everyone who commented on the car, offered feedback and information, and contacted me with questions. My experience with this forum has been extremely positive.
