Default 1978 True barn find 71k miles

True barn find was put in a dry garage in 1984 and pulled out early this year. Bought it off a lady whose husband bought it for her in 1980. The husband was killed in 1983 she drove it until the tags expired in 1984 and parked it. Her son finally convinced her to sell it and did a oil change new plugs and a battery. This car runs and drives like a 70k mile untouched car should drive. Has 4 new calipers, master cylinder, starter and complete 74 style true dual exhaust. The car is a 4sp with heavy duty suspension and all the normal options. Does have mahogany leather. Has had some paint work but found no body work can still see all bonding strips. Paint is cracked and faded. Do not have to sell it but it will take time and money from my 72 conv project. Asking a fair price at $5900.00. Also have tank sticker original owner manual warranty book and some old repair orders.

I wish I was closer. Looks like it could be a great car.

Fascinating find...just saw this. Can you post or send scan of the tank sticker?

to: hunt4cleanair@earthlink.net

If my hunch is correct...this is one of 70 built with an L48 M20 four-speed in 1978.

Rare to find a 4 speed for that year. If it was near Georgia I would probably buy it.
